WHAT WE OFFER
The Inpatient Pediatric Unit (A6) is a regional centre for acute pediatric care, providing comprehensive assessment, treatment, and family-centred support for children and youth from infancy through adolescence. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional care that is safe, equitable, and responsive to the unique physical, emotional, developmental, and psychosocial needs of children and their families. By fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous quality improvement, we aim to achieve the best possible outcomes while creating a positive and supportive experience for every patient and family
Family Presence: You are welcome to stay with your child in their room. We encourage you to have one parent stay with your child 24 hours a day to offer support and comfort. Sleeper chairs can be made available for parents.

CHILD LIFE WORKERS
If your child needs to stay in our pediatrics uinit, they will have the opportunity to meet one of our child life workers, who will support your child through play and help ease the stress of hospitalization.
