PRHC is looking for a physiatrist to join our hospital and take over a well established practice in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This opportunity includes an inpatient consultation service and an outpatient service with clinic space and clerical support.

PRHC's integrated Stroke Unit (ISU) has staff dedicated to the care of stroke patients. The stroke unit provides both acute and rehab care following stroke. The ISU benefits from a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to care with excellent support from specialty services including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language therapists, registered dietitians, pharmacy, and social work. PRHC has been awarded Stroke Distinction by Accreditation Canada.

Outpatient clinic services offered include orthopedic rehabilitation, musculoskeletal care, spasticity management, amputee clinic, botox injections, electromyography (EMG) studies and access to fluoroscopy. Leadership opportunity available as well.

• Currently registered with or eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Fellow of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with physicians, nurses, staff, volunteers, patients, hospital leadership, and the community as required
• Demonstrated analytical ability
• Ability and willingness to encourage a spirit of collaboration amongst team members
• Eligible for staff privileges at PRHC
• Evidence of ongoing continued medical education
