PRHC's Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic is located in downtown Peterborough and offers expedited, barrier-free treatment for patients who are addicted to alcohol or opioids. The medical team at the RAAM clinic has experience treating people who are struggling with substance use, and understands the potential barriers for those seeking help. The RAAM clinic is aimed at helping to prevent opiate overdoses and reducing emergency department visits and hospital stays for people with addictions.

PRHC's RAAM Clinic is here to support:

  • people who are struggling with substance use 

  • residents of Haliburton, Northumberland County, Peterborough City & County and the City of Kawartha Lakes 

     

What services does the RAAM Clinic offer? 
PRHC's Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic provides immediate access to lifesaving treatment by offering same-day counselling, addiction medication, and prescription therapies for people who are addicted to alcohol or opioids. The clinic is staffed by PRHC physicians and nurses, who work in partnership with FourCast and PARN-Your Community AIDS Resource Network to ensure clients are supported through the continuum of their care.

No booked appointment or physician referral is necessary, although referrals from doctors, nurses, social workers, addiction counselors and community providers are welcome.

RAAM is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
