Patient Relations

There may be times when you or your family members need help in understanding the health care system or voicing a concern.
 
To do so, first speak to the departmental staff or to their Manager. If you still have concerns after speaking with the staff member and manager, the Patient Relations Coordinator will be happy to assist. Our goal is to ensure our care is in accordance with appropriate professional practice standards.
 
The Patient Relations Coordinator

• is available to all PRHC patients and families and community members who have questions, compliments or concerns. (Pre-arranged appointments preferred).
• can explain Health Centre policies and procedures
• investigates issues objectively
• may recommend a meeting with you, your family members and appropriate care team members
• can answer questions about services available at Peterborough Regional Health Centre
• follows up on concerns so that management, physicians and staff are aware of issues and will make improvements where appropriate
• can arrange for a staff member to review information on your chart with you
