The Department of Surgical Services is responsible for all of the care needs of patients undergoing surgery at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre. There are over 350 specially trained employees in our service who coordinate to provide high quality care for patients. This care is provided through the coordination of the following areas within the Health Centre.

• Post Anesthetic Care Unit (PACU)
• Acute Pain Management Service (APMS)
• Hutch 2 - General, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery

• Surgical Constant Care - Specialized postoperative care unit
• Hutch 4 - Orthopedics
• Endoscopy Suite
• Fracture Clinic
• Sterile Processing Department (SPD)
