Occupational Health & Safety provides a comprehensive, holistic occupational, health, safety and wellness program for employees, physicians and volunteers. In supporting the values, vision and mission of PRHC, OH&S recognizes people as our most important resource.
Occupational Health & Safety is responsible for many services such as:
- primary care when ill, injured at work
- health promotion counseling, education
- modified return to work program
- working with managers on the medical aspect of attendance management
- Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee
- WSIB - Workplace Safety and Insurance Board
- disability case management
- accident/incident investigations
- Workplace Hazardous Material Information System support and education
- ergonomics consultations
- back education program
- Employee Assistance Program
- pre-placement health reviews
- immunization programs in accordance with OHA/OMA guidelines
- communicable disease follow-up
- blood borne disease protocol follow up and education
