PRHC is a regional hospital designed to ensure that critically ill patients have access to an appropriate level of care in a timely fashion. The Critical Care Program at PRHC provides intensive medical and nursing care on a continuous basis for patents with medical, surgical and cardiac needs.

The multidisciplinary team in ICU includes physicians, registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, social workers, dieticians and pharmacists who are committed to providing expert, high-quality patient care.

The ICU is located on A3. While visiting hours at PRHC are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days per week, please note that visiting hours in the ICU may be extended or restricted based on patient needs and condition. Visitors are limited to two people at a time.

Family members are asked:

• Not to bring flowers or goodies into the ICU for patients
• To check with the nurse before visiting a patient
• To designate one individual as the contact person to phone and inquire about a patient’s condition
