As a patient at PRHC you are helping to train our future doctors! As a community teaching hospital, PRHC provides clinical training opportunities for medical learners from Queen's University at Kingston, as well as other medical schools across Ontario and Canada.

During your stay at PRHC, you might meet medical students, clinical clerks (3rd and 4th year medical students, and resident doctors (receiving extra education after medical school). Last year patients at PRHC helped train over 130 medical learners!

While you are helping these doctors get valuable medical experience, there is also a benefit to you to being part of a teaching hospital team: there is one more caring, interested health professional who is concerned about your health!
